Open house at the IFREMER Mediterranean Centre: an outdoor marine sciences laboratory - Saturday 21 May and Sunday 22 May 2011, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
On Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 May, the Ifremer Mediterranean Centre at La Seyne-sur-Mer will host an open house in the Brégaillon port area. This event attracted more than 5000 visitors during its first edition in 2007.
The Ifremer Mediterranean Centre will be transformed into an outdoor laboratory for the entire weekend. The open house offers the general public, young and old alike, a peek into the scientific and technological activities in the Mediterranean Sea region (La Seyne-sur-mer, Sète, Palavas and Bastia) conducted by Ifremer and its partner organisations: INSU, IRSN, COM, CEDRE and the owner of IFREMER’s ocean research fleet, Genavir.
